Description for Gite
Welcome to our charming cottage located on a 3,500m² plot alongside our main house and an independent guest room. This former barn has been transformed into a cozy living space, offering a combined living room and kitchen on the ground floor, along with a bathroom and separate toilet. Upstairs, you will find two interconnected rooms, one with a 140cm bed and the other with bunk beds for children, as well as an additional bed.Outside, a lovely garden corner provides the perfect setting for enjoying meals while taking in the breathtaking mountain landscape. (Please note that breakfast for 2 or 3 people, called "Chickadees," is available on the same site.)
When it comes to rental details, we kindly ask that you refrain from bringing pets. Payment can be made by check.
At the end of your stay, there are a couple of additional fees to be settled separately from the rental price. These include the city tax of 0.34 euros per person per day (children under 5 are exempt) and any extra power consumption recorded by the meter.
We offer the convenience of a wood stove, with a sufficient stock of wood provided free of charge for cozy evenings. However, please note that the main heating source is electric. Linen rental is available as an optional service, with prices as follows: single bed sheets (10 euros), double bed sheets (15 euros), and towels (5 euros per person). Payment for linen rental is due upon arrival.
Upon departure, you have the choice to either handle the spring cleaning yourself or opt for our cleaning service at an additional cost of 50 euros.
The Baronnies region has been designated as a zone with remarkable landscapes by Natura 2000. It boasts a Cistercian abbey, a beautiful gulf, excellent local cheese, and numerous picturesque villages where time seems to stand still. For us, this is a truly magical and rejuvenating place.
In the surrounding area, Lies is located just 8 km from Bagnère-de-Bigorre, a charming spa town that hosts a delightful farmer's market every Saturday. The town also offers a spa center called Aquensis, a cinema, a theater, and a swimming pool. Within a wider radius, you will find the renowned ski resort "TOURMALET - LA MONGIE BAREGES" just 20 kilometers away, as well as the Pic du Midi de Bigorre (the observatory of the stars) and the city of Lourdes. Our valleys provide ample opportunities for both moderate and challenging mountain hikes.
We, Sandra and Eric, look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful cottage.
