Description:

Description for B&B:

Mas St Joseph, built in 1790 as the living quarters for the neighboring monastery, is a historic property that exudes charm. The peach farm now incorporates much of the original monastery, including additional farmhouse and barns, while the beautiful chapel is located on the opposite side. The mas retains its tranquil atmosphere from the past, offering spacious rooms with stunning views of the peach orchards, hills, and mountains. Traditional Catalan brocante items are on display and available for purchase.

On the ground floor, guests are welcomed into an entrance hallway with exposed stonework and beams, featuring a large refectory table for indoor dining. Two guest sitting rooms are available, with the first offering satellite TV, a granule burner, and various facilities for guest use. The second, larger sitting room also includes satellite TV and a DVD player. French doors lead out to a Moroccan-style patio/courtyard with a barbecue, seating area, swimming pool, and additional seating. Guests can choose where to enjoy their breakfast.

The property offers three bedrooms and a self-contained studio, each with a newly renovated en-suite shower and toilet. All rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi and television with satellite channels. Room rates include a generous continental breakfast, and picnic lunches and evening meals can be arranged upon request.

Chambre de l'Abbé, formerly the abbot's sleeping quarters, boasts a sunny ambiance and stunning views of the peach orchards and Les Aspres hills. This room features a comfortable antique double bed and a standard TV with satellite channels. Please note that the en-suite shower/WC room is compact and may not be suitable for larger guests.

Chambre du Canigou, a double room with exposed stone work, offers views towards Mount Canigou. It includes a queen size double bed, a big screen TV with satellite channels, a DVD player, a wardrobe, and a spacious en-suite shower room with a toilet. This room is perfect for couples seeking a romantic holiday.

Chambre du Soleil faces south, providing a light and airy atmosphere with the same stunning views as Chambre de l'Abbé. It features a super king size bed, a writing desk, a big screen TV with satellite channels, a DVD player, and a spacious en-suite shower room and toilet. This room can also be configured with twin single beds upon request.

The Studio Catalan, located on the top floor of the mas, offers views of both Mount Canigou and Les Aspres. It includes a mezzanine level that can accommodate up to three people, with two single beds (or one super king size double) and a futon bed. The main room also offers a sofa bed, allowing for a maximum sleeping capacity of five persons. The studio has a compact shower room with a toilet, a dining table, and a kitchenette equipped with a fridge, microwave, and electric kettle (no stove or oven). Additional amenities include a wide screen TV with satellite channels, a DVD player, a pull-down cinema screen, and a ceiling-mounted digital projector. The room also features a small library and two comfortable sofas. Please note that due to the stairs to the mezzanine and the low sloping roof, the studio is not suitable for the elderly, disabled individuals, or children.

Mas chaleureux
Review by: Sylviane Serra, Juin 14 2019 3:27PM
Hôtes très accueillants, ils font tout pour que l'on se sente bien. L'endroit est magnifique, les petits petits-déjeuners au top, la literie de qualité. On peut s'installer confortablement autour de la piscine. Il y a tout pour passer un séjour magique.
