Description for B&B:

Our accommodations are tastefully furnished and consist of two self-contained studio apartments. Each apartment features a luxurious king-size bed, an ensuite shower room, a small kitchen, and a breakfast room. The kitchens are equipped to prepare light snacks, warm up food for children, pack lunches for the day, and even cook dinner.

Due to the ongoing COVID pandemic, we are currently unable to provide breakfast or evening meals. As a result, the studios are being rented on a Gite basis or self-catering. The price has been adjusted accordingly.

We happily welcome dogs, and our guest rooms open directly onto a large garden where you can relax. There is also a picnic and barbecue area available, along with sunbeds for your convenience. We have a delightful and very friendly Border Collie named Freddie, who is loved by all of our guests and visiting dogs. He is well-behaved and gets along with people, including small children, and other dogs. We also have a new addition named Loupie, an equally adorable and well-behaved German Spitz who is 18 months old.

In addition to our cozy accommodations, we provide amenities such as Freeview TV with both English and French channels, free internet/WiFi, boules, a fridge freezer, microwave, cooker, and access to a washing machine and dryer upon request. We also have a hairdryer available for your convenience.

Our bed and breakfast is situated in a rural area, providing a unique opportunity to explore the richness of our region, sample local products, and meet the friendly locals. Beyond the coastal area, Calvados offers beautiful landscapes, architecture, and numerous tourist attractions. From the historic Bessin area, known for the famous D-Day Landings, to the charming half-timbered houses of Pays d'Auge, you can also discover La Suisse Normande with its breathtaking gorges and picturesque valleys.

The Bocage Virois is perfect for walking and fishing, while the Pays de Falaise holds historical significance as the fiefdom of William the Conqueror. As you explore this stunning region, you will appreciate the diversity of the area and the beauty of the environment.

We are conveniently located within a short drive of the famous Normandy Landing beaches, including Omaha, Arromanches, Juno, Pegasus, and the associated memorials. Other notable attractions nearby include the old castle at Vire, Mont St Michel, the Bayeux Tapestry, and the castle of William the Conqueror in Falaise.

The surrounding countryside offers a range of activities such as motorbiking, cycling, climbing, canoeing, paragliding, golfing, and fishing. There are numerous marked and unmarked walking trails, with Roche d'Oëtre being a favorite among visitors. Thury Harcourt, Clecy, and Le Vey are also worth a visit. Bagnole de l'Orne, known for its beautiful spring and summer displays of hanging baskets and flower boxes, offers a picturesque town with a lakefront casino and various restaurants. The Carrouges Castle is just a 15-minute drive away.

Surrounded by history and nature, whether you are passing through or extending your stay, your time at La Ferme Bed & Breakfast will be luxurious, comfortable, and memorable. Our tranquil setting provides the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The only sound you will hear is the delightful birdsong.

During your stay, you can admire the stunning dahlia display on the terraces opposite the house. These beautiful flowers will provide constant beauty and can also be enjoyed as fresh cut flowers from July until the first frost. We have a selection of tourist information leaflets, maps, and recommended routes available, as well as suggestions for our favorite local restaurants.

Please note that we have a strict no smoking policy. Additionally, while our current accommodations do not offer wheelchair facilities due to the age and structure of the house, they are located on the garden/parking level to accommodate guests who may have difficulty with stairs. Parking is conveniently available directly in front of the door.
