Description:

Description for B&B:

Located on the southern foothills of the Vosges, where the mille-étangs ("thousand ponds") high plateau begins and water flows towards the Mediterranean Sea, our historic farm, La Petite Rosière, is nestled in a secluded spot. Situated just above the commune of La Rosière, "La Petite Rosière" can be found at the end of a small road. Apart from our own driveway, which leads through a large, covered gate to the farm, there is no traffic in sight. The surrounding landscape stretches in all directions, offering endless opportunities for short walks and explorations along forest and meadow paths, as well as the chance to embark on longer hikes. The farm, along with the old bakehouse and the small "tourelle," forms a charming ensemble. Across from us, a sprawling orchard gently slopes down to a tranquil bathing lake, adorned with a majestic rock. Beyond the lake lies an enchanting deciduous forest, where moss-covered rocks, ancient trees, and scenic viewpoints await discovery. Above the house, farm, and lake, on the other side of the old donkey path that once connected us to the outside world, stretches a meadow fed by a natural spring, which provides water for our house. We have also dedicated part of the meadow to growing vegetables and potatoes. From the pond to the forest's edge, from the rocks to the blooming meadows, surrounded by a diverse array of beeches, oaks, birches, and ash trees, there are countless places where one can connect with the peace and beauty of nature.

La Petite Rosière is a beautiful and peaceful place. Very nice rooms with a personal artistic touch. Lovely hosts - and the cuisine is a delight for tongue and eye. After five days in La Petite Rosière I felt rested and refreshed.
