Description for Gite

Welcome to Les Caselles, a charming farmhouse nestled in the heart of the Grands Causses Natural Park. With a rich history dating back to the 17th century, our authentic Aveyron building showcases the expertise of the renowned builders from the nearby village of Saint-Beauzely.

Situated close to Millau, the Gorges du Tarn, and the Larzac plateau, Saint-Beauzely is the birthplace of the builders of the fortifications of the Templar and Hospital cities. Our picturesque hamlet of Azinières was once a thriving Causses farm, contributing to the fame of the "king of cheeses," Roquefort. The farm covered over 400 hectares and provided a home for ewes on the nutrient-poor land of the Causse Rouge, known for its exceptional flora.

Over time, the farm fell into disrepair, but in the year 2000, a buyer embarked on an extraordinary renovation project, envisioning a farm inn to bring our historical site to life. Thus, Les Caselles was born, welcoming its first travelers.

Today, Mikaël and Alizée Pélégry have taken on the challenge of transforming Les Caselles into an eco-friendly, low-energy home. Their commitment to quality and ecological transition drives their vision of sustainable and responsible tourism. With the help of local companies, the farmhouse now houses five top-of-the-range guest rooms, a charming gite, and various communal and private areas, all with energy consumption comparable to a single-family home.

At Les Caselles, we are proud to offer our guests high-performance, eco-responsible equipment, allowing them to enjoy their stay guilt-free. From small gestures to major renovations, we continuously reinvent ourselves to align with our sustainable and responsible approach. Our heating system, lighting, use of rainwater, solar panels, and electric vehicle charging point all contribute to our commitment to the environment.

Our table d'hotes follows the same principles, with a focus on short circuits and fresh, local, quality products that showcase the richness of our Aveyron region. We aim to provide a warm and authentic Aveyron house experience and strive to be one of the best guest houses in the region. Friendliness and quality are at the core of our values, ensuring that each visitor has a remarkable experience.

Join us on our journey of "slow tourism" and discover the picturesque, sporting, and green wonders of Aveyron.
