The charming farmhouse, originally built in 1802 and recently renovated with careful attention to preserving its original features, is located in the peaceful hamlet of Chignat. Situated on a quiet lane, the farmhouse is surrounded by expansive gardens and barns. The beautifully landscaped grounds, spanning 2 hectares, boast an array of magnificent trees, blooming shrubs, well-maintained lawns, meadows, and a flourishing vegetable garden.The accommodation comprises of five bedrooms, including a double room, a family room, two twin-bedded rooms, and a single room. Bernie, a professional cook, offers exquisite 5-star, 4-course meals in the evenings. The ingredients used for the meals are sourced organically from either our own vegetable garden or local suppliers. A delicious and nutritious breakfast is included in the room tariff, ensuring a great start to your day. The breakfast options include fruit juice, cereal, organic muesli, fresh fruit, yogurt, croissants, homemade bread, conserves, porridge (ideal for colder weather), and plenty of coffee.
Additionally, we offer a small campsite spread across 5 acres of gently sloping meadow, accommodating 25 pitches. The campsite features a diverse range of mature trees, shrubs, and abundant birdlife, making it a perfect spot for nature enthusiasts (don't forget your binoculars!). There are electric hook-ups available for six caravans or camping cars. Furthermore, we provide the option to rent two large, fully equipped trailer tents. Our sanitary facilities are of top-notch quality, including a disabled shower and toilet. We also have a reed bed system for waste water management and follow a comprehensive recycling policy. In one of our barns, you will find a games room, as well as a fridge and a washing machine for your convenience.

Directions
To locate Chignat, please note that it is commonly spelled as Chignal on maps, for reasons unknown. Upon reaching Bourganeuf, you will encounter a single roundabout. From there, proceed onto the D37 and then follow the D8 towards Lac de Vassivière. Continue on this road for approximately 3 kilometers until you come across our blue signs, indicating a left turn. Follow these signs to Chignat, and you will easily identify our property by its unique gates.
