Welcome to Loches, a town that has retained much of its medieval and Renaissance charm despite the passage of time. With its impressive landmarks such as the Keep, the Former Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame now St Ours, the Royal Apartments, and the Chancellery, Loches offers a rich history and architectural heritage spanning over 1000 years. In recognition of its cultural significance, Loches has been included in the national network of Towns and Areas of Artistic and Historic Interest since 2000.Situated in the heart of the Touraine region, known as France's garden, Loches is surrounded by vineyards, gastronomy, vegetables, and cheese. Within a mere 100 km radius, you will find some of the most renowned castles of the Loire Valley, including Chenonceau, Chambord, Amboise, Chinon, and Villandry.
Perfect for a romantic getaway or a family vacation, our recently renovated property offers a charming apartment and a lovely studio. Together, they provide the comfort of an apartment with the added convenience of breakfast service.
The apartment features an entrance hall with a sofa bed (160x200 cm), TNT television, and a DVD player. The salon dining room includes a sofa, a library, and a double table. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, induction stove (4 burners), oven, microwave, dishwasher, and various cooking utensils. The bedroom offers a double bed (160x200 cm) and a single bed (90x190 cm). Additionally, there is a bathroom with a separate bathtub and toilet.
The studio consists of a main room with a kitchen area equipped with a fridge, two electric plates, a multifunction oven, steam cooking options, a coffee machine, a moka pot, a kettle, a toaster, and a complete cooking kit. The main room also features a comfortable bed (160x200 cm), TNT television, and a DVD player. The bathroom includes a shower with a small protective wall and tent, making it convenient for bathing babies with a separate bath.
We offer several free services for your convenience, including bed linen, covers, towels for the bathroom and kitchen, and high-speed internet access. Baby equipment such as a high chair, bed, small bath, and potty are available upon request. Electricity, heating, and water are included in the price of your stay. Small pets are allowed, subject to prior approval. Laundry facilities, including a washing machine and dryer, are available, and there is also a garden area for drying clothes in the sun. Other amenities provided include a mop with bucket, vacuum cleaner, iron, and ironing board. Electrical adapters can be provided upon request, and a hairdryer is available for your use. If you are arriving at Loches station, we can arrange a taxi service to transport you from the station to the apartment or to a car rental garage.
We also offer additional services upon request, such as a lunch packet, fresh bread, and croissants from a local bakery in the morning, cleaning service, cleaning products, and taxi services from the Tours or Amboise stations to Loches, the apartment, or a car rental garage. Directions
If you are arriving by car from the motorway, there are three different routes you can take to get to Loches.
1. If you are coming from the A85, take exit number 11 for Bléré/Amboise/Loches. Follow the D31 south for 21 km until you reach Loches.
2. If you are coming from the A20, take exit number 13 for Tours/Buzançais. Follow the D943 northwest for 64 km until you reach Loches.
3. If you are coming from the A10, take exit number 25 for Sainte Maure-de-Touraine/Chinon/Loches. Follow the D760 east for 32 km until you reach Loches.
Once you arrive in Loches, make sure to follow the signs for "Château". You will pass through the Poitevine Port and find yourself on Mail de la Poterie, the main road in the city. On your left side, you will see the old houses of the citadel, and on your right side, you will find parking at the base of the walls. Congratulations, you have arrived!
If you are arriving by air, there are two options:
1. If you are landing in Paris, you can take a TGV train from Charles de Gaulle airport to Tours St. Pierre des Corps. From there, you can connect to other airports if needed. More information can be found on the website www.aeroportsdeparis.fr.
2. If you are landing in Tours, there are flights available from various locations such as London Stansted, Manchester, Southampton, Dublin, Porto, Marseille, Figari, and Ajaccio. Once you arrive in Tours, you can take a shuttle bus to the train station and then catch a train to Loches. More information can be found on the website www.tours.aeroport.fr. Alternatively, you can also rent a car.
If you are arriving by train from Tours or Châteauroux, you can visit the website www.trains-horaires.com/gares/loches for all the necessary information. Please note that one of the free services available upon request is a transfer from Loches station to the apartment or car rental garage. At the Loches station, you will find TER ticket machines, bus and coach services, and parking. The train lines serving Loches station are Tours and Châteauroux.
