Located in the heart of the charming village of Nanteuil-en-Vallée (a designated Petite Cité de Caractère) in the Charente region, Villa Taillefer is a spacious private residence with a beautiful walled garden that overlooks the Canal des Moines and the river Argentor.Gareth and Lesley, the owners and hosts, have tastefully decorated the house, using a combination of color and design to create a cozy and tranquil ambiance. They have carefully preserved the house's rich history while providing guests with modern comforts.
Guests have the option of staying in one of the three uniquely designed en-suite bedrooms, with the Victor Hugo suite even featuring its own intimate salon. The garden offers various seating areas where guests can find a sunny or shady spot to relax and enjoy a good book. Breakfast can be enjoyed on the spacious terrace or in the inviting dining room. Upon prior arrangement, guests can also indulge in a delicious table d'hotes experience on Sunday evenings. Additionally, there are two popular village restaurants just a stone's throw away.
In addition to the warm hospitality provided by Gareth and Lesley, guests will be greeted by their friendly Cocker Spaniel, Isla. Well-behaved canine visitors are welcome to stay in the ground floor bedroom, as long as they are cat-friendly. The hosts are fluent in both English and French, ensuring a seamless communication experience for all guests.
