Description for B&B:
The Castle River was constructed in 1577 by Gaston de l'Isle on the site of a former defensive high camp established by Charlemagne. In the 19th century, the renowned architect Viollet le Duc rebuilt the castle. Situated on a hill, it offers commanding views of the picturesque Dordogne valley and is surrounded by 59 hectares of lush vineyards. Nestled within the Renaissance wing, the castle boasts five guest rooms, each thoughtfully designed with en-suite bathrooms and toilets. The rooms are exquisitely furnished, showcasing a delightful blend of tastefulness and intricate decor. A stay in these rooms promises a truly indulgent experience, evoking relaxation, charm, and unparalleled refinement.Reviews
