Val du Roy is a charming mansion from the seventeenth century that offers four guest rooms. Each room is equipped with a seating area and a kitchenette to ensure the utmost comfort for our guests. Additionally, our picturesque garden with a terrace is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

All of our rooms have been awarded 3 keys by Clévacances, guaranteeing a high level of comfort. Our rates include a delicious breakfast served in a character-filled dining room, complete with wooden beams, a cozy fireplace, and an antique dresser. Guests can enjoy a separate entrance for added privacy.

Located between Nancy and Troyes, as well as Dijon and Reims, Joinville is a small historic city with a fascinating story to discover. Visit the former courts, old prisons, or the beautiful Château du Grand Jardin, both of which are Renaissance buildings. Explore an old apothecary, a crayfish farm, or a stunning garden in an ancient mill. Just a few kilometers away, you can experience the largest artificial lake in Europe, Lake Der, which is a haven for wintering cranes and boasts several beaches.

In Colombey-les-deux-Egllises, don't miss the impressive museum dedicated to General de Gaulle, where the history of the twentieth century comes to life. Welcome to "Le Val du Roy" Bed and Breakfast in Joinville. We offer four uniquely decorated guest rooms that transport you back in time to an authentic and charming atmosphere. Each room is adorned with canopy beds, antique furniture, traditional cupboards from Lorraine, and alcoves, all complemented by beautiful beams, wood paneling, and old floors. The rooms are filled with antique trinkets, giving a flea market feel, as if they have effortlessly withstood the test of time since the 17th century.

While we have incorporated modern comforts such as glass basins and modern showers, we have carefully maintained the original authenticity and character of the place. Three of the rooms have shower rooms discreetly tucked behind a screen, offering a spacious and private space for each guest.

The "Antoinette de Bourbon" room, with its canopy bed and alcove, boasts a large separate bathroom with an antique bathtub and shower, comfortably accommodating up to three people. The "Claude de Lorraine" room features an old double bed, an antique wardrobe, and various decorative elements like a baby-basket and an old sewing machine. It also has a shower, toilet, and lavabo.

In the "Jean de Joinville" room, you will find two old corner beds, an antique wardrobe, and a double sink, along with a shower and toilet. Lastly, the grand "Mary Stuart" room offers a double canopy bed with electric bedding, a sofa-bed for additional guests, a dressing table, a wardrobe, and a mezzanine bathroom. Each room is equipped with a TV, and free WIFI is available throughout the house.

Guests are welcome to use the kitchen, complete with a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, ceramic hob, and oven. The cozy lounge area, also equipped with a TV, provides a perfect space to relax. Additionally, you will have direct access to the grand, old, and enclosed garden through an independent entrance, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful surroundings at your own leisure.

Ancienne maison très romantique, chambres décorées avec le goût d'antan. On se croirait dans un autre temps. Petit-déjeuner parfait, accueil très chaleureux. Jolie décoration partout. A recommander!

Joinville is situated in the department of Haute-Marne, between the cities of Dijon and Reims, Nancy and Troyes, or Chaumont and Saint-Dizier. Once you reach Joinville, head towards Wassy. You will come across the Hotel du Nord on the main road. After passing the hotel, go a little further up and you will find the B&B "Le Val du Roy" on your left at 11 Rue Camille Gillet. It is located behind cast iron grates at the bottom of the garden. You can park your car on the sidewalk. The owners will provide instructions on where to park for unloading your luggage at 22 rue du Valleroy.
