The accommodation at La Gigude is uncomplicated yet cozy. It features a spacious living room on the ground floor with an open fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen in the American style. On the first floor, there is a bathroom and three bedrooms that can accommodate up to 9 people. Two of the rooms have a double and single bed, while the other room has three single beds. Additionally, there are two extra bedrooms and another bathroom on the third floor that can sleep 6 people.La Gigude is not just a place to stay, but also a working farm. It is home to 30 goats and 60 sheep, and their milk is skillfully transformed into delicious cheese that is sold at local markets. Guests are invited to visit the farm to taste and purchase the cheese.
Conveniently located near the intersection of the two main hiking trails in the Hautes Corbieres, the GR36 and the Sentier Cathare, La Gigude offers a truly exceptional geographical setting. Surrounded by breathtaking countryside and magnificent views, you can expect a tranquil and unforgettable holiday experience.

Directions
To get to Couiza from Carcassonne, take the D118 road and turn left onto the D613. Then, make a right onto the D14 road, passing through the towns of Rennes les Bains, Bugurach, Cubieres, and Soulatge. Shortly after Soulatge, there will be a right turn signposted "La Gigude." Take this turn and continue for 1.5 kilometers.
If you are coming from Perpignan, follow the D117 road past the airport until you reach Estagel and Maury. At Maury, turn right onto the D19 road. When you reach Cucugnan, make a left turn onto the D14 road. Just before Soulatge, there will be a left turn signposted "La Gigude." Take this turn and continue for 1.5 kilometers.
