Description for B&B:
La Grande Lauzade is a historic property situated in Provence, France. Originally constructed in the 18th century, it was built on the grounds of a former monastery that dates back to the 12th century and even earlier, during Gallo-Roman times. The original monastery, which was renowned throughout the region, was looted and completely destroyed during the French Revolution. It was subsequently sold by the State as a national property.Today, the current house stands on the original foundation and is made of the same stones. From being a farm to now a wine estate, La Grande Lauzade is rich in history, reflecting its evolution over the centuries. Surrounded by vineyards that still produce the famous Lauzade wine, the guest house offers access to various levels of gardens for guests to enjoy. Just a few steps away from the terrace, a pool deck is nestled under the shade of the nearby plane trees, alongside a 6-person jacuzzi. The large cedar tree in the lower garden provides shelter from the sun.
Inside the house, guests can find a fitness room equipped with a power plate, sauna, and a billiard lounge. The basement houses an impressive indoor heated pool.
Located in the picturesque region of Provence in the south of France, La Grande Lauzade is near the beautiful and protected "la plaine des Maures" environment, as well as the French Riviera and the scenic and untamed countryside of "le haut Var".
