Saint-Savournin is a charming French commune situated in the Bouches-du-Rhone department and the Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur region. With a population of 3,151 residents as of 2009, it is nestled at the eastern edge of the Massif de l'Etoile, flanked by Cadolive and Mimet. The locals of Saint-Savournin proudly bear the name of Saint-Savournicains and Saint-Savournicaines.The climate in Saint-Savournin is greatly influenced by its geographical location. The village is perched on the northern slope of the Étoile massif, boasting a relatively high average altitude of over 440 meters. Due to these factors, Saint-Savournin experiences a distinctive climate compared to other towns in the region. Afternoon temperatures often hover around 3 to 5 degrees Celsius lower than those in Aix-en-Provence or Marseille.

Situated beneath the main residence of the owners, this charming cottage offers independent access and private parking. Guests can enjoy a relaxing and shaded terrace, as well as a secluded relaxation area. The cottage, spanning 30m2 and accommodating 4/5 people, is fully furnished and equipped. Its features include a living room with a sofa bed (160), a bathroom with a shower and toilet, and a bedroom with two single beds (90 * 200) and an additional single bed. Amenities such as TV with Canal+ and WIFI, dishwasher, and washing machine are provided. The cottage also includes bed linen and towels.Guests have access to a shared swimming pool (seasonally heated) and a petanque ground through a secure entrance. The cottage's exceptional location allows for convenient visits to Cassis, Marseille, Aubagne, and Marseille, all within a 25-minute drive. St Savournin, situated on the GR 2013 hiking trail, offers numerous hiking opportunities, including the stunning creeks of Cassis, the Ste Victoire and Star massifs, and the Sainte Baume region. The hosts are happy to provide insider tips for exploring these cities and their iconic attractions, avoiding traffic congestion.

Directions from Marseille:
1. Take Highway A7 and then A51 towards Marseille Aix. Take exit 2 for Bouc Bel air and Gardanne.
2. Follow the D6 expressway and take the Biver-Ouest exit.
3. On the bridge, turn right and then left towards Biver and Mimet. At the stop, turn right onto the D58A.
4. Continue straight through Biver.
5. At the roundabout (Statue Ste Barbe), take the second exit on the right towards Mimet (uphill).
6. At the large roundabout, turn left towards Mimet and Gréasque (uphill towards the Giant).
7. Pass through Mimet and continue towards Saint Savournin.
8. At the entrance of St Savournin, after the shopping center on the left, you will find the car park next to the playground (which is the "13 en promenade" appointment).
9. As you exit the village, after the pharmacy, take a left onto the D8 towards the Valentine, Bouilladisse, and continue for 200m.
10. Turn right at a bend where you see the sign "Le Collet blanc" (in front of the bus shelter).
11. After 100m, turn right again (signposted as Chemin de la Poussaraque) and immediately take a left along a series of small garages. Then, go down the path to Poussaraque. We are located at 240 on the right (white gate), just after the entrance of a subdivision.

1. Take Highway A51 towards Aix Marseille and exit at Bouc Bel air.
2. Take N8 towards Marseille and then turn left onto D60A towards Gardanne and La Salle.
3. Cross over the bridge on the expressway and continue following the directions from step 3 above.
