Description for B&B:

Discover a brand new, comfortable, and friendly address that will surprise you with its audacious and refined decoration. MAISON 1780, located in Cournon d'Auvergne, is nestled between the Regional Natural Parks of Volcanoes and Livradois-Forez, offering an ideal location to explore the major attractions of the region.

As soon as you enter through the gate, you will be charmed by this fully restored 18th-century former winemaker farm. Surrounded by lush greenery and hidden from view, MAISON 1780 provides a peaceful haven, allowing you to escape from the pressures of time.

The three bedrooms, "BERRY," "POLLEN," and "POTIRON," including a spacious family suite, are situated on the first floor and open onto a beautiful garden adorned with fig trees, lilacs, lavenders, rosemary, and oleander. Each room is designed with soothing colors to create a tranquil and comfortable atmosphere for your rest.

In "POTIRON," a room of 28m2, you will find a double bed (160 x 200) and a private bathroom and toilet within the room. "POLLEN," a family room of 29m2, features a double bed (160x200) and an independent living room that can be converted into a second bedroom with a double bed (140x190) upon request. This room also has a private bathroom and a separate toilet on the same floor. Please note that our house is not suitable for children under 12.

The "BERRY" room, measuring 12m2, offers a double bed (160x200) or two single beds (80x200), along with a private bathroom and a separate toilet on the same floor.

The interior of the house combines modern and traditional elements, including volcanic lava stone staircases and slabs, old fireplaces, lime-washed timber-framed walls, original oak floors, vaulted ceilings, and French tomettes. Period furniture, designer pieces, and cherished objects create a welcoming "family home" ambiance.

Guests have access to spacious common areas, including the dining room and living room.

The surrounding hills beckon you to take leisurely strolls, while the shaded areas beneath the fig trees and the terrace offer a perfect spot for relaxation after exploring the region's treasures.

Indulge in our gourmet and generous breakfasts, where you will savor a variety of homemade delights such as jams, brioche, pastries, organic bread and yogurts, local honey, cereals, fresh fruit, high-quality bulk tea, and fruit juices.

For dinner, we offer a table d'hôte experience upon reservation (45 euros per adult, including wine / 35 euros per child under 18). The menu includes a MAISON 1780 cocktail, a starter, a main course, a selection of regional cheeses, and a dessert. Our local cuisine pays homage to seasonal produce and the culinary traditions of our region.

To help you plan your excursions, we provide several itineraries highlighting the must-see sites in the area.

MAISON 1780 is the perfect choice for travelers seeking a charming house in Auvergne. It is a hidden gem that whispers its existence, as those who have discovered it want to keep it a secret!

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate our furry friends, as the house is not suitable for animals.

Nearby, you can explore the historical heritage of the old town, which dates back to the 13th century and offers a glimpse into the city's past. Lose yourself in the narrow streets and discover the architectural heritage characteristic of the old winemaking villages of Auvergne, including winemakers' houses, old cellars, and fascinating wine barrels.

The region's natural heritage is equally captivating, with its dry hillsides forming a rich ecological site protected under the Natura 2000 program. The river Allier, one of Europe's last wild rivers, is also protected for its diverse fauna and flora, ensuring the preservation of its pristine water.

Additional amenities include baby equipment for families (crib, changing mattress, mini bath, high chair), free Wi-Fi access, flat-screen televisions, desks, and complimentary mineral water in all rooms. Hairdryers and organic soaps and shampoos are provided for your convenience. Throughout the day, you can relax in the lounge and library, or enjoy the terrace and garden furniture. The enclosed garden and free private parking in front of the property complete the offerings of this little paradise.
