Description for B&B:
Château de Lahitte is a charming 4-star B&B nestled on a serene hillside in the Adour Valley. Originally built in the 18th century as a vineyard estate, the house was lovingly restored in the 19th century and is now surrounded by lush parkland and beautifully landscaped gardens.Guests can enjoy the tranquility of the gardens, take a leisurely walk, or simply find a quiet spot for contemplation. For relaxation, there is a sauna with showers and a rest room located in one of the restored outbuildings. Additionally, an outdoor swimming pool is available for guests to use. On a clear day, the stunning Pyrenees mountains can be seen from the garden of the Château.
The comfortable and bright guest rooms are located on the first and second floors, each offering an ensuite bathroom with a toilet. Breakfast can be enjoyed either in the dining room or in the garden under the canopy of the unique "gloriette" (an open summer house) – highly recommended during warm summer mornings. Guests also have access to sitting rooms on the ground floor.
Close proximity to tennis courts and a golf course allows guests ample opportunity to explore the Gasgogne region, known for its sunflower fields, vast estates, vineyards, picturesque villages, and breathtaking landscapes. This area is renowned for its Armagnac production, with the nearby cotes de Saint Mont, Madiran, and Tursan offering excellent wine options. Fine dining experiences are also available, ranging from renowned Michelin 3-star chef Michel Guérand to local favorites "les routiers".
