Directions
LOCATION AND DIRECTIONS:
We are located in the Pays de la Loire region, near the village of Averton, which is equidistant between Alencon and Le Mans on the northern border with Normandy.
To reach La Maison de Noyer B & B at La Cesnerie, we recommend using LD Lines and the Newhaven-Dieppe service. From the M25 junction that connects to the M23, it is approximately a one-hour drive to Newhaven. The ferry journey takes about four hours and is a relaxing way to start your trip. Upon arriving in Dieppe, it will take approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes to reach us in St. Aubin du Desert via Rouen. The A28 makes this journey much faster compared to a few years ago when there was no autoroute.
Driving times from the ferry ports are as follows: Dieppe, Caen, and Le Havre - 2 hours and 45 minutes; Cherbourg - 3 hours; Calais - 3 hours and 45 minutes. Le Mans is only 50 minutes away, Alencon and Mayenne are both 30 minutes away, and the Loire Valley and Saumur are approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes away.
DIRECTIONS: If you are traveling south on the A28, take exit 20 and drive towards Sille le Guillaume. Continue on to Fresnay sur Sarthe, then Souge le Ganelon, and proceed through to St Paul le Gaultier. From there, drive towards Villaines la Juhel on the D15, which later becomes the D119 as it enters the Mayenne. Turn right onto the D268 towards Gesvres, and then take the first right to La Maison de Noyer at La Cesnerie.
If you are using a GPS to navigate, enter LA CESNERIE 53700 for directions to our small hamlet of only 3 houses. La Maison de Noyer is situated down a short drive off the D268 and can be accessed through a metal field gate.
