Situated on the picturesque banks of the Rhone River, this charming Dauphinoise residence dating back to 1680 is a small castle in Vertrieu village. The village is also home to two other castles, with the oldest dating back to the 13th century. Our house consists of two apartments and five guest rooms, including a suite. The landscape offers a truly relaxing experience with stunning views of the Bugey mountains. Surrounded by a park spanning over 8000 m2, the property provides direct access to the Rhone and a serene atmosphere.

After three years of renovation work, this delightful and functional home has become a peaceful haven. We offer a range of accommodation options, catering to modern and stylish tastes. With over 30 years of experience as a decorator and numerous travels, my partner and I have created a cozy ambiance that is both practical and aesthetically pleasing. We have used high-quality materials mostly made in France, including our renowned Home CASSIOPEE collection of linens, which are used in boats, luxury homes, and prestigious hotels. The decorative objects, paintings, and sculptures in our space are created by well-known artists whose value continually appreciates.

All of the decorative objects, as well as most of the paintings and sculptures, are available for purchase. This allows our guests to appreciate the pieces in their intended context and envision them in their own interiors.

Our accommodations include an apartment of 27 m2, featuring a 140 bed with a comfortable mattress, a fully equipped kitchen, a shower, a toilet, and provided linens and products. We also offer a daily cleaning service, as well as complimentary Nespresso coffee and tea. The apartment is equipped with a flat-screen satellite TV, a kettle, a toaster, a microwave, bathrobes, and a hairdryer.

Other rooms include the "Past Present Room" with a 140 bed, a shower, a toilet, and provided linens and products. For a larger group, we offer the "Following the Current" suite, which includes a 160 bed with an over-mattress, a shower, a toilet, a living room with a sofa bed for two, a dressing room, and provided linens and products. This suite also features a satellite TV, bathrobes, and a hairdryer. It offers the most breathtaking view of the park and the Rhone River and is decorated in a trendy gray and orange color scheme.

Geographically located in the heart of the Blue Valley, we are surrounded by 834 km of bike paths (Via Rhôna) and the plains of Ain, making it an ideal destination for holidays, relaxation, as well as work or training. The area is home to major centers, including EDF.

The Alps are easily accessible within an hour, offering breathtaking natural landscapes along the way. The abundance of natural beauty in the area provides a peaceful and tranquil environment for guests seeking peace and tranquility. Families with children can enjoy nearby parks with tree climbing activities or visit the amusement park, Walibi. The area also offers safe cycling routes and beginner-friendly hiking trails.

Other nearby attractions include the Caves of Balme, the medieval town of Pérouges, and the bird park of Villars-les-Dombes. For those seeking more excitement, there are opportunities for rafting and jet skiing on the Rhone River.

We are conveniently located 40 km from Lyon, with easy access from the A42 Lagnieu exit or 1h15 from Geneva via the A42 Ambérieu exit. The nearest airport, Saint Exupéry, is 35 km away and can be reached in 35 minutes.
