Description:
Description for B&B:
This is the description of a beautiful manor from the late 19th century, built by an industrialist during the flourishing belle epoque era of the textile industry. The building is designed in the "à la lyonnaise" style, with a simple and discreet facade facing the road to not disrupt the surroundings. However, on the other side, the manor showcases an exuberant charm, allowing guests to admire the industrious city of Tarare through the shade of ancient trees.Although Tarare may have lost its prominence after that prosperous period, it has since regained its vitality through new activities, such as the presence of Gerflor. The manor itself holds a significant place in history. In April 1943, it found itself in the midst of conflict as it was surrounded and attacked. At that time, the owner, Albert Giron, was the leader of the resistance. He managed to escape discreetly through the park and ultimately brought an end to the war in the town below.
Today, the manor offers four guest rooms and reception areas for celebrations. Its grandeur creates a theatrical atmosphere, enhanced by the shaded park and the presence of a charming duck pond. Guests can enjoy breakfast in the manor's dining room, which also serves delicious Lyon cuisine for dinner at the table d'hôtes.
Conveniently located near the A89 motorway (Tarare Center exit), the manor is easily accessible and only a 35-minute drive or train ride away from Lyon. This makes it an ideal choice for those who wish to explore the capital of Gaul and indulge in its renowned gastronomy.
Additionally, the manor offers a private enclosed car park and Wi-Fi for the convenience of its guests.
