The island of Désirade is situated off the coast of Guadeloupe and can be reached by a 30-minute boat ride from St. Francis. The Blue House is located in Baie-Mahault, the final village before reaching the port for boats to the island. With a length of 12 km and a width of 2 km, the island has only one road that gently slopes towards the sea on the side of the mountain, while the other side is steep. Désirade is a peaceful and picturesque place that offers respite from the hustle and bustle of the world. Constantly refreshed by the trade winds, the island enjoys a cool and pleasant atmosphere. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden full of flowers and is secure. It is located 400 m from the beach, which is protected by a coral reef extending 300 m into the sea. The sandy bottom creates a tranquil pool covering an area of approximately 15,000 m2. To reach the Désirade from St François in Guadeloupe, you will need to board a boat for a half-hour crossing. Once you arrive at the port, you will find rental cars, scooters, and bicycles available. The blue house is located 7 Km from Mahaut Bay, on the road leading to the mountain.
