Welcome to our stylish and comfortable property in Confolens! With 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, our house can accommodate up to 6 people. Enjoy fast and free WIFI throughout the house and in each bedroom.Located on a quiet side lane with a view of the river and its bridges, our house is centrally located in the most historic area of Confolens. You'll find all the lovely bars and restaurants in town right on our doorstep or just a short walk away. Leave your car parked and immerse yourself in the friendly ambiance of the town without worrying about taxi journeys. (see handy map of Confolens below)
For your safety, every bedroom and living room window has a garde corps, a traditional and attractive French balcony guard.
We have created a stylish French holiday let that is fully equipped for self-catering. You can enjoy the fresh, organic produce grown by local gardeners from the market days in town or within the region. Combine that with the renowned bread and wine of France, with very good quality wines available from just two Euros, and you have the perfect French evening.
Just 200 meters from our door, you'll find a beautiful public park and picnic area. This beach on the river Vienne is a short walk from the house and offers a picturesque setting with a water mill and the towns road bridge. During the summer season, there is a sandy beach zone where you can enjoy a meal in the fresh air on one of the picnic benches or with a blanket. You can also hire boats and kayaks from the professional kayak and boat hire situated here.
A further walk up the river will take you to Confolens' own open-air swimming pool with water flumes. This pool offers countryside views and is a great way to enjoy the glorious summer in the Charente, known for its sunshine hours and temperatures. Soak up the sun, take a dip, and don't forget the sun cream!
We are located in the heart of the ancient town of Confolens, which is considered to be one of the most attractive old towns in France.
