Description for B&B:
This art deco style villa is steeped in history, having been designed by esteemed architect George Letélié (Prix de Rome) and executed by Pierre Grizet, the city architect of La Rochelle in the 1950s. Grizet's contribution to various projects in the city solidifies his reputation as a skilled architect. In early 2016, the villa underwent a comprehensive renovation, during which great care was taken to preserve the building's unique identity. The original features were retained and integrated into a modern and exotic décor, complemented by an assortment of tropical plants.
While Villa Verde is conveniently close to the heart of the old city, including popular attractions like Place de Verdun, Vieux Port, and Competition Beach, it is strategically situated away from the bustling center. This peaceful location, coupled with a charming little garden, ensures that Villa Verde offers a tranquil and relaxing environment for a truly enjoyable stay.
As a Franco-Brazilian couple, we take great pleasure in welcoming you to our guest house, which boasts an ideal location for exploring and experiencing all that La Rochelle has to offer. Our utmost desire is to provide you with a serene and welcoming atmosphere, where you will quickly feel at home.
