Description for B&B:
Whether you're traveling for leisure or business, whether it's your first time or you're a regular visitor to our beautiful region, we are here to ensure you have the best possible stay.It all begins with the house! We have put in a lot of effort to renovate and decorate the place so that as soon as you arrive, you feel at home in a warm, cozy, and inviting environment.
We take pride in offering accommodations that go above and beyond the average. Just take a look for yourself: our three different rooms vary in size from spacious, to large, and even extremely spacious!
- Room #1: The family room (35 sq. meters) consists of two connecting rooms with sliding glass and wood doors. One room has a double bed and the other has two single beds. You will absolutely love the convenient bathroom. This room comfortably accommodates 2 to 4 people, preferably a family.
- Room #2: The suite (32 sq. m) is comprised of a bedroom with a large bed separated from a second room by the bathroom. In the latter, you can read, write, listen to music, or do whatever you please without disturbing your loved one who wants to sleep. Additionally, there is a single bed, making it perfect for a young family of three.
- Room #3: The loft. This room is quite special indeed, with a surface area of 65 square meters, it is designed for those who love or need space. Please note that this room, equipped with a large bed (160x200 cm), is meant for two people, preferably a couple, as the expansive bathroom is not partitioned. However, there is an extra bed, an antique boat bed, which can be used as a sofa bed and is convenient for a child or anyone who is no taller than 6 feet. Moreover, you can relax in two rocking chairs or choose to nap in the genuine Brazilian hammock. Nestled on the top floor, you'll have a breathtaking view of the beautiful countryside. For those who have experienced it, life may never be the same again! (Even the French will have to admit: "ah oui, en effet, c'est pas mal... c'est même magnifique.")
All of our main bedrooms are located "côté jardin," despite the limited traffic on the road. Each room is equipped with electric-powered blinds and amenities such as a hairdryer, boiling kettle, radio and CD player. Of course, linen and towels are provided. In the common area downstairs, you are free to use the fridge and the two ovens (one regular, one microwave). Please note that there is no television available in the rooms or common spaces. Instead, you will find books, magazines (in French), maps, other tourist information, and various games.
All of the above is available at a fair price, which includes a healthy and generous breakfast. In addition to hot drinks like tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, we serve local and delicious apple juice, yogurts, different types of fresh bread (cereals, sesame, wheat, and rye), an array of delicious jams and butter. There are also different kinds of cereals like muesli and crunchies. At times, we even offer cakes from our region, depending on availability and the chef's humor. We like to change the breakfast menu every day. Breakfast is served from 8:30 am to 10:30 am in the spacious dining room on the ground floor, where you'll also find another salon for reading and games.
Come and visit us to experience it for yourself. There are plenty of things to see, do, and enjoy nearby.
We are located in the world-famous Bigouden Country, which is one of the cultural centers of Brittany. We are conveniently close to the magnificent city of Quimper (a 15-minute drive), the port of Douarnenez (20 minutes), and Pont L'Abbé (15 minutes). Additionally, we are in the vicinity of many points of interest in the region, such as the seaside resort of Bénodet/Sainte-Marine, Concarneau, Pont-Aven, Locronan, the Crozon Peninsula, the Armorique Natural Park, and the Monts d'Arrées.
If you look at the map, you'll see that we are just an hour away from Brest, two hours from Rennes, and two and a half hours from Nantes. Please note that highways are toll-free throughout Brittany, which is an exception in France due to historical and cultural factors.
Whether you prefer sports or cultural activities, or enjoy both, there are numerous festivals (mainly in summer), great museums on various themes, chapels, and plenty of historic sites to visit, including menhirs and dolmens. In terms of sports, the options are abundant, ranging from golf, tennis, horseback riding, mountain biking, sailing, windsurfing, kite-surfing, paddle-surfing, surfing (la Pointe de la Torche being a hot spot), sand yachting, paragliding, kayaking, and hiking.
Alternatively, you can simply relax and have fun at the many beautiful beaches nearby. They offer white sand, pristine environments, and are immersed in nature, making them a paradise for bird watching and away from the crowds. Breathtaking Pointe du Raz, the most western point in France and a great place to hike, is only 40 minutes away. However, the nearest beaches along the Baie d'Audierne (a 10-mile stretch of fine white sand), which are wild and protected, can be reached within a 10-minute drive. Penhors, for example, is renowned for the quality of its waters.
Lastly, don't forget to indulge in the gastronomic wonders of the region, such as Kouign Aman, Far Breton, gâteau Breton, crêpes, and excellent fish and seafood.
As you can see, there is plenty to see and do here, so you'll need to stay for a few days!
