Description for Gite
Welcome to the Pinot Black cottage, located in the historical Clos de Guignes, a former winery full of fascinating stories. Dating back to the seventeenth century, this estate in Tavers (45) is a part of the rich history of the Loire Valley. The monks from the diocese of Meung-sur-Loire once resided here and produced wine that graced the royal tables, favored by none other than Louis XIII himself. As you enter the large farmhouse, which is now our home adorned with roses, you will be greeted by a vineyard square that leads to a beautifully landscaped garden. This garden is open for you to explore and discover its enchanting hidden corners, where our beloved hens roam freely. Le Clos de Guignes offers a peaceful and rejuvenating atmosphere, with a heated pool and spa located near the pergola. On sunny days, you can relax in the cabin by the river in the garden, providing a moment of tranquility or an opportunity for fishing enthusiasts. In the mornings, you may even catch a glimpse of deer frolicking in the woods or pheasants leisurely strolling about.
When you stay with us, you can expect warm hospitality and a cheerful atmosphere. The cottage is situated in one of the outbuildings of our home, allowing you to enjoy your independence and have a peaceful stay. We will be delighted to provide you with all the amenities of our property and share our knowledge of the surrounding area. It's worth noting that the two single beds in the attic may not be suitable for elderly guests. The cottage is ideal for families with children or groups of friends.
The Pinot Black cottage is conveniently located just ten minutes from Beaugency station and 150km from Paris. You are only a stone's throw away from the Loire River, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which can be explored on foot from the cottage or with the bikes we provide. The famous vineyards and enchanting castles of the Loire, such as Chambord, Blois, and Meung-sur-Loire, are just a short drive away. For more adventurous activities, the Beauval Zoo and Sologne karting are also nearby.
