Excellente étape, accueil exceptionnel
Septembre 2016. Excellente escale à lentrée du Périgord, à mi-chemin entre Bordeaux et Périgueux, à recommander les yeux fermés. Laccueil au Bois du Mas Saint Aulaye est tout simplement exceptionnel. Il est évident que Babeth ne reçoit pas des clients pour gagner de largent : elle accueille chaleureusement des invités parce quelle aime rencontrer du monde. Elle prendra aussi le temps de vous parler de la région, des sites à visiter alentour, des restaurants. Puis, si vous avez le temps, vous pourrez encore refaire le monde avec elle et avec sa jeune maman, qui à 90 ans en paraît 20 de moins. Notre chambre, très spacieuse et joliment décorée, bénéficiait dune grande salle de bain très bien équipée, avec notamment une grande cabine de douche. La propriété est un havre de paix et de calme et le jardin est très soigné. Nous avions prévenu Babeth que nous ne prenions pas de petit déjeuner, mais nous avons tout de même eu droit aux croissants, confitures maison et jus de fruits, en plus bien sûr du thé et du café. Suggestion : réservez le Bois du Mas pour plusieurs nuits et faites en votre pied-à terre pour explorer autant de sites de la région que possible.
