The city of Jonzac and Montendre City are conveniently located near historical sites and beautiful sandy beaches. Both cities offer a variety of shops, bars, and restaurants. Additionally, the historic cities of Royan, St George Didonne, Angouleme, Cognac, Saintes, Pons, Meschers, Talmont, Royan, and Bordeaux are all less than an hour away.

At Domaine, we welcome you for all occasions such as family reunions, stages, parties, birthdays, and weddings. Our village hall is at your disposal, providing you with the opportunity to gather and socialize.

Sunflowers Cottage is a spacious and renovated hostelry that can accommodate 12+ people. It features a large living room with a TV and DVD player, as well as a fireplace for cozy winter evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped with a cooktop, oven, dishwasher, fridge with freezer, and microwave. There are four bedrooms, including one on the ground floor and three on the first floor. The cottage also has a large bathroom with a walk-in shower on the ground floor, a bathroom with a bath upstairs, and two toilets. Other amenities include a washing machine, iron and ironing board, and vacuum cleaner. Outside, there is a terrace with a barbecue and garden furniture. The weekly rental prices vary depending on the season.

Le Petit Chai Cottage is a charming converted wine store that can accommodate 5 to 6 people. It offers a comfortable living room with a TV and DVD player, as well as a fireplace. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge with freezer, and microwave. The cottage has two bedrooms, a bathroom with a walk-in shower, and one toilet. There is also a washing machine, iron and ironing board, and vacuum cleaner. Outside, there is a terrace with a barbecue and garden furniture. The weekly rental prices also vary depending on the season.

In addition to the cottages, we also offer two charming guest rooms named Clelia and Le Boudoir. These rooms are located on the first floor of the main house. We also provide a host table service upon reservation, where you can enjoy delicious meals made with fresh produce from our garden.

During your stay, you will have free access to the garden, the fenced-off pool measuring 12 meters by 6, and the indoor games room equipped with table tennis, darts, pinball, billiards, and fitness equipment. We also have outdoor facilities such as a badminton court and various games for children. Bicycles for adults and children are available, as well as golf clubs if you wish to play golf in Montendre. The nearby tennis court and boules area are also free to use. For those interested in fishing, hiking, visiting the lake, kayaking, or enjoying a spa treatment, these activities are conveniently located on the edge of our property.

Pets are allowed in the cottages, ensuring that the whole family can enjoy a memorable stay at our Domaine.

Directions

Location and access:

Chaunac is approximately 10 km away from Jonzac and Montendre, 60 km from Angoulême, and 50 km from Bordeaux (40 minutes).

By car:
To get to Chaunac by car from Bordeaux to Angoulême, follow the A10 towards Paris and take exit 39B (Angoulême). Then, take the RN10 and exit at Montlieu-La-Garde to head towards Montendre. If traveling from Paris, take the A10 to Poitiers South, then take the RN10 towards Angoulême. Exit at Montlieu-La-Garde and head towards Montendre. If coming from the west, take exit 37 of the A10 (Mirambeau) and follow the D730 towards Montendre.

By train:
The nearest train station is Montendre, which is 10 km away. The Atlantic TGV stops at Bordeaux or Angoulême, where car hire is available. It is also possible to reach Jonzac or Montendre by TER.

By plane:
Bordeaux-Merignac Airport is located 55 km away (45 minutes).
