Description for B&B:

Welcome to Grosio and B&B Villa Verde! Located in Valtellina, our bed and breakfast is situated just 15 km from Tirano and 25 km from Bormio.

Our recently renovated B&B offers three comfortable bedrooms on the second floor, each with its own en suite bathroom. Guests can also enjoy a spacious open living and dining area on the same floor, perfect for breakfast or relaxation. Outside, our garden features a charming pond with goldfish and aquatic plants, as well as a covered terrace for outdoor dining or unwinding.

Parking is available adjacent to the house, and we also have a garage for guests' bikes.

Why choose Grosio for your holiday? There are several reasons! Firstly, Grosio is centrally located to many popular tourist resorts such as Bormio, Livigno, S. Caterina, Aprica, Teglio, and St. Moritz. It is also an ideal starting point for exploring historical cycling routes like Mortirolo o passo Foppa, Gavia, Stelvio, Bernina, Aprica, and Verva.

Additionally, Grosio offers easy access to ski slopes, ice-skating rinks, thermal bathing pools, and ancient Roman thermal baths, all within a 15-minute drive. You can also visit Tirano in just 10 minutes and catch the famous red train of the Bernina Pass, which takes you to the stunning Saint Moritz, passing through breathtaking scenery at over 2000 meters.

Grosio is steeped in history and offers a unique cultural experience. The region's antiquity and anthropological significance make it a must-visit destination in Valtellina. The surrounding mountain regions, Valgrosina, Valdidentro, and Alpi Orobiche, provide a pristine natural environment for hiking, mountain climbing, and biking enthusiasts.

While in Grosio, be sure to explore the park of rock carvings, which features medieval castle remnants and showcases the continuous habitation of the region since prehistoric times. The "Rupe Magna" is the largest example of rock carvings in the alpine area. The park offers free entry, but we recommend a guided tour for a deeper understanding of its history. You can also visit the Villa Visconti Venosta, a museum and library surrounded by a vast park with a playground for children. Other attractions include a museum of costumes and uniforms from the Great War, as well as the beautiful church of San Giorgio and San Giuseppe.

We look forward to welcoming you to Grosio and B&B Villa Verde for an unforgettable stay in this culturally rich and picturesque region.

Description for Gite

The house is conveniently located in Tirano, positioned on the left side of the main entrance to the town, connecting it to the road from Bormio. It stands out as an oasis of greenery, blending in beautifully with the surrounding landscape. One cannot miss the charming hand-painted sign that adds a special touch to the house's exterior. The villa is divided into three floors, with the ground floor and first floor serving as the primary living spaces for day and night. The second floor, consisting of three rooms with bathrooms and a spacious living room-kitchen with a loft, is exclusively reserved for guests of the B&B.
